The work of fine artists and news photographers isn't typically displayed together. But curators from MU's Museum of Art and Archaeology, along with officials from the School of Journalism's Missouri Photo Workshop, have recently assembled a stunningly evocative collection from these "dissociated realms." The goal, they say, is to explore the "ever changing and sometimes vanishing reality of the Missouri heartland." The exhibit, Missouri Through Lens and Palette, is timed to coincide with the journalism school's 100th anniversary. It runs through December 24. The photo above, Rainstorm on East Broadway, was taken in Columbia, Mo., 1949. Get a closer look by clicking on the play button above.
